HIMALAYAN HAMLET SIKKIM

Sikkim – a hamlet on the Himalayas. A small state bordering Nepal in west, Bhutan in the east and China (Tibet) in the North. Its capital, Gangtok, is a small and bustling town. With mighty Kachenjunga and various white mountains around and its awesome landscapes makes Sikkim a best tourist destination for nature lovers. Travel Beyond Borders not only takes you to Sikkim but also to the Chinese Border, Nathula Pass. In our 7 days tour you will also visit the two small tows Lachung and Lachen from where you will visit Gurudongmar Lake and Yumthang. Except during the rainy season Sikkim can be visited anytime throughout the year.

  • Day 1 - Arrival at NJP/Bagdogra and transfer to Sikkim

  • Arrive at NJP station or Bagdogra Airport, our representative will meet you and take you to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.
    Check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
    Spend your time checking the locality, try local foods or simple relax yourself.

  • Day 2 - Gangtok Sightseeing Tour

  • After your breakfast at hotel, have your full day Gangtok sightseeing tour. Start of the tour visit Banjhakri Waterfalls, next visit the Dro-dul Chorten Stupa and Research Institute of Tibetology. Proceed to Rumtek Monastery,Ganesh Tok and witness the mesmerizing view from Tashi View Point. Later visit Himalayan Zoological Park, Kanchenjunga cultural tourism complex and Flower show complex. At last you can spend your time boarding the Gangtok Ropeway and witness a breathtaking view of the city from a good height.
    After an awesome day return to your hotel

  • Day 3 - Visit to Nathula, Chhangu Lake and Baba Mandir

  • Wake up early morning and breathe some fresh air. Then, treat yourself with your breakfast and proceed with a full day excursion tour of Sikkim covering the picturesque Chhangu Lake (Tsomgo Lake) that has an average depth of 50 ft. Spend some blissful moments at the banks of this serene lake and enjoy the mesmerizing scenic beauty of the surrounding hills and pine trees.

    Next, seek blessings at Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, the renowned holy sanctum of Gangtok. After paying homage at Baba Mandir proceed to the awesome Nathula Pass. Spend some time at this pass and get a chance seeing the Chinese border.

    Return to your hotel and call off the day of your charming Sikkim vacation with a sound sleep.

  • Day 4 - Gangtok to Lachen

  • Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Lachen. En route, visit Singhik Viewpoint that is surrounded by lush green hills and has the Teesta River gushing right below it. Check out the magnificent views of Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt.

    Siniolchu from the point, before resuming your Lachen tour.

    Next, witness the magnificent glory of the Seven Sisters Waterfall along with the Naga Waterfall that lies on the way to your hotel in Lachen. Check in to your homestay at Lachen.

  • Day 5 - Lachen - Gurudongmar Lake - Lachung

  • After your breakfast in the morning proceed to visit the Gurudongmar Lake – the second highest lake in the world, and gape in wonder at its emerald blue waters and the snow-capped mountains bordering it.
    Return to your homestay and after lunch advance on a refreshing Lachung tour. On reaching Lachung check-in at your homestay in Lachung.

  • Day 6 - Lachung - Yumthang Valley - Gangtok

  • After breakfast in the morning proceed to Yumthang Valley. Also visit the Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary located inside Yumthang Valley. (If the roads are clear you can also visit the zero point with some added charges). On the way back from the valley visit the Hot spring. The Yumthang Hot Spring is known for its therapeutic value and healing properties.

    Later return to your homestay for lunch and proceed back to Gangtok.

  • Day 7 - Back to NJP/Bagdogra

  • After breakfast in the morning check out of the hotel and drive back to NJP Railway station or Bagdogra Airport for your return journey.
